Aktivstall Aletsch in Mörel, located in the Swiss canton of Valais, is a modern boarding stable where natural movement, social contact, and equine welfare are central.
In close collaboration with the architect, AB Horsestables developed a custom concept that aligns with the location, the available space, and the desired method of horse keeping. We realized two run-in stables, two automatic feeding stations, a double outdoor stable, paddocks, and matching fencing.
The feeding, resting, and outdoor areas are intentionally distributed across the site. This encourages the horses to keep moving naturally throughout the day. The automatic feeding stations are carefully integrated into the buildings using a custom construction.
The result is a safe and functional facility where sophisticated design, ease of use, and the well-being of the horses come together.
