Galms Pension & Reitschule in Lausen, near Basel, is a versatile equestrian center combining boarding stables and a riding school. The facility is located directly at the edge of the forest and accommodates both professional and recreational riders.

For this project, AB Horsestables renovated fourteen existing stables and replaced several outdated components. Additionally, we constructed a new American Barn with accompanying paddocks.

During the design phase, we considered Swiss requirements for horse housing, including sufficient space in the stables and the possibility of free turnout. All new facilities were custom-designed and carefully integrated into the existing buildings.

The result is a functional and cohesive whole where the renovated stables, new construction, and paddocks are well-connected. With attention to ease of use, safety, and the well-being of the horses.
